Goal/Objectives of IQAC:

IQAC has a defined Quality Objectives as:

  1. To aim for being a ‘College with Excellence'.
  2. To achieve academic and administrative excellence.
  3. Creating a student-centric atmosphere for holistic learning.
  4. To develop stronger Industry- Academia relation for benefit of staff and students.
  5. To promote Interdisciplinary and collaborative Education.
  6. To enhance the quality of staff by promoting and encouraging overall faculty development.
  7. To enhance Infrastructure for Teaching-Learning and Administration.

The IQAC team believes in planning based on:

 

·         Analysis of current trends.

·         Current needs of the education field.

·         Continuous improvement in teaching-learning and evaluation.

·         Use of latest technology for the betterment of students.

·         Social affairs and their impact on education.

·         Institutional Social responsibility.

·         Appropriate decision-making.

·         Effective implementation of the plans.


Benefit Of IQAC -

1.     Ensure heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement.

2.     Ensure internalization of the quality culture.

3.     Ensure enhancement and integration among the various activities of the college and good practices.

4.     Provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.

5.     Act as a dynamic system for quality changes in the college.

6.     Build an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication.



◄ Strategies ►

 

1.  Evaluation of mechanism and procedures for ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic & extra-academic activities which is done with help of different departments through their academic calendars.

2.   Monitoring of a fore-mentioned activities through regular meetings with departmental heads and other stakeholders.

3.   Implementation of feedback mechanism for both students and parents with a view to fulfill the objectives of the IQAC.

4.   Feedback submission mechanism is totally online for students, parents and alumni about college and Teacher. That is this is paperless process.



◄ Functions ►

1.  Developing and applying benchmarks/parameters of quality for various academic and administrative activities of the institution which is done by SWOC analysis and review meetings.

2.  Monitoring the performance of the students in examinations, Cultural activities and academic activities.

3.  Encouraging the departmental as well as various committees to hold curricular and extracurricular programs for the overall development of students.

4.  Organizing inters and intra-institutional programs on quality related themes.

5.  Providing extension services to other institutions regarding NAAC accreditation and other quality related parameters.

6.  Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to quality improvement.

7.  Analysis of feedback received from students, parents and alumni on quality related institutional processes.

8.  Dissemination of information to faculty, students and staff through Massage alerts, web-site and notice boards.

9.  Publication of news letter of IQAC.


 

              We are committed to provide Excellent Quality Education in Arts, Science and Commerce faculties as per UGC, Hemchan Yadav VishwavidyalayaDurg (C.G.) and Government of Chhattisgarh norms to create multidisciplinary best citizens, and to satisfy the students and parent’s requirements through continual improvements in Quality of Education Services.”

                To improve institutional internal quality, the UGC has taken a policy decision to direct all colleges to establish IQAC. In Government Naveen College Gurur, IQAC established at 16.10.2014 and working continuously to improve & enhance quality in Education. The IQAC should meet at least once in a quarter. The agenda, minutes and action taken reports are documented. The Cell has been functioning actively of our Academic and Administrative activities. “Quality Policy” is the major objective of our IQAC through continuous monitoring and constant follow-up of undergoing activities.

 

As per the guidelines from NAAC: -

“The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. For this,during the post-accreditation period, it will channelize all efforts and measures of the institution towards promoting its holistic academic excellence.”
